Fundraising and Marketing

Fundraising

There are some key points that need to be remembered in relation to fundraising. The Policies covering this should be read.

Raffles

If you are planning to run a raffle to raise funds, you should read this document. It provides guidance and ensures that you comply with current legislation.

Bequests

We have been receiving an increased number of requests for information about how to leave a bequest to Legacy Brisbane. This is a sensitive area and requires special management.

How to handle bequests inquiries is described on this page.

Marketing

Marketing is a key part of Legacy’s branding. Communication must follow the correct guides and adhere to corporate standards.

Communication

There are forms and templates available for use located on this page.

Key Messages

Speaking on behalf of Legacy with local contacts is always encouraged – particularly during events like Legacy Week. Legatees are essential advocates for Legacy.

A key messages document is provided to ensure up-to-date statistics and general messages are readily available.

When engaging with media and publications, for events and interviews, all communications must be directed through Kelly Burmester in Marketing and Communications, Legacy Brisbane.

This is to ensure:

  • Consistent information is provided to the public from Legacy clubs across Australia and our own contact groups
  • Up-to-date information can be provided to you during potential crises

Please don’t hesistate to contact the marketing and communications team about any enquiry or request:
